What you’ll do

  • We’ll start the tour at Bryant Park where we’ll teach intro birdwatching skills, including how to use binoculars like a pro.
  • Next, we’ll visit an established flock and observe all types of pigeons and behaviors. We may even see a hawk or falcon on the hunt!
  • Lastly, we’ll visit a nesting site. Depending on the season, we may get lucky and see nests, babies, or juvenile pigeons!

Accessibility

Sidewalks in this neighborhood are relatively flat. We are not aware of permanent obstacles to wheelchairs or other mobility devices along our route. Unexpected obstacles (like construction) may occur, but we’ll route around them.

If you have specific mobility needs or questions, please get in touch and we’ll work to meet your needs.

Restrooms

The park has restrooms, which are wheelchair accessible. They are sometimes closed for construction or maintenance.

Another option is cafes near the park. It is unclear whether any nearby cafe restrooms are wheelchair-accessible. (We will update this as we learn more.)
